Levels and Jigs

Around here, we love a good “measure twice, laser once” moment — especially because crooked lettering, off-center stencils, and wonky board placement can humble a maker real fast.

One of our favorite little shop helpers lately is a simple laser level. It is one of those tools that feels like overkill until you use it once… and then suddenly you want two.

For laser engraving, a laser level can help you quickly line up the center of a board, tray, cutting board, sign blank, or weirdly-shaped gift before you ever hit start. Having two laser levels is even better because you can cross your horizontal and vertical lines to find center fast without drawing a bunch of marks all over your project.

Laser levels are not just for the laser room, either. They are handy for hand lettering, stencil placement, painted wood signs, door hanger designs, and sign painting parties. When you are painting words on a board, a faint center line can help keep your lettering from slowly wandering off into the sunset. Ask us how we know.

For our sign painting parties in Broken Arrow, tools like this help make projects look cleaner, more centered, and less stressful for beginners. Nobody wants to come to a fun craft night and leave with their stencil accidentally living in the top left corner forever.

Whether you are laser engraving, hand lettering, making wood signs, or joining us for a Broken Arrow sign painting party, a few simple leveling tools can make your finished project look a whole lot more polished.

Little tools. Big difference. Fewer crooked words. Amen.
